The tiger who came to my birthday party and fucked it up
Digital print of original acrylic painting in two sizes:
80×80cm
60x60cm
A play on the childhood classic ‘the tiger who came to tea’ this grown-up version provides an alternative ending where the tiger comes back to see the child again years later. This time on her birthday, and basically fucks it up. Champagne, cake, sushi all of the elements of a brilliant celebration are featured in this painting with the mean looking tiger taking centre stage. In the corner sits the discarded tin of tiger food that she had stored since childhood in case of his return, but it’s left in the corner rejected in favour of the finer things on offer.
Bold, bright and fun. The print translates the lines, textures and cracks of the original canvas to add extra depth and interest.
